What does the bible say about encouragement? The bible tells us that we need to encourage others, "sustain the weary one with a word." I think we've all come across someone who has, I've had a terrible, no good day, written all over their face.
Or perhaps knowing someone who is giving up everything to start their dream business, or a young person entering their first year of college. Whatever it is, we are here to remind them that they do not walk alone and never will. The lord is always with us and we should unload all of our worries onto him. And as his disciples, we are told over and over and over, to encourage others; strangers or not.

So the next time you see someone who has had a bad day, make them laugh, give them a compliment or simply wish them a good day! Positive and uplifting words can do wonders to banish the anxiety that weighs someone down.
I figured I would supply all of you with a few verses that talk about encouraging one another. I wish I had time to write them all but there are SO MANY!! That should be a testament to how important it is to Him to always speak words of encouragement.

Galatians 6:2 ESV
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.
Proverbs 12:25 ESV
Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.
Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV
