Quick Rori Post

Liz LuscombComment
This is going to be a quick post since I am having a hard time finding time to sit down and type.

As most of you know, Rori was born last Friday!  Since then, we have been working on settling into a routine with three kids, and my hubby's new job.  ;) Fun times.  So far, Rori has been my quiet baby that wakes up only a couple of times at night.  The only problem with when she wakes up at night, she is wanting to stay up! We've been trying to keep her awake as much as  possible during the day to try and break her habit.  So far I think it is working because she only woke  up twice last night and stayed up for one hour after her first feeding.  Woo hoo!

We did notice some colic tendencies that mimicked what Scout went through so we put her on Alementum (sp?) formula as well and it seems to have done the trick!  All three of my kiddos have very sensitive tummies.  ;(  In fact, I need to write about Scout's food allergy.  I'll have to make myself a note.

Speaking of her eating, she is the runt of my pack and she eats very s-l-o-w-l-y.   She is my bird eater.  She had me concerned for a couple of days because she doesn't wake up to eat unless it's at night.  Otherwise, I'm having to wake her up to feed and she doesn't always want to finish.  She is so tiny to begin with, I really don't want to see her lose weight.

Some of you wonder how Scout is handling her being home and the answer is, great!  So far he doesn't really notice her to be honest.  She is so quiet, nobody does, lol.  The only difference I see in him is that he doesn't squirm when you give him hugs or kisses anymore.  Now he wants them...all of them.  He also wants to cuddle a little more, which he NEVER wanted before.  I won't complain with cuddles though.  I love cuddles from my kids. ;)

As for Nate, he thinks she is the cutest baby girl ever.  ;)  Such a sweet big brother.

I also want to thank every one for all of the sweet messages I received!  I loved reading each and every one of them. ;D

I am working on Rori's birth story, for those who are interested.  Hopefully sometime next week I will have that posted up for you guys.

Here are some of the Rori facts:

Born on Friday, March 30, 2012 @ 8:59 pm

She weighed 6lbs 9oz.  (I won the bet on this one.  We all took a guess at how much she would weigh and I guessed 6lbs 9oz.  I guess Mama always knows best!)

She is 19 1/4 inches long.

Rori is exactly 10 months apart in age from her brother Scout.  They will be the same age for two months out of every year.
