A Night Out :o)

Liz LuscombComment
Monday did not have enough hours in the day; it was a constant race against the clock.  (Not to mention our babysitter bailed a few hours before leaving!) We were running around all day long trying to get things done before the Mav's game began.  Needless to say, I pulled into our driveway a mere three minutes before we were to leave the house to meet up with our friends in Denton.

Any way, we arrived on time and made it to the game on time.

But let's rewind a bit.  When I heard we were going to this game, I really wanted an NBA maternity shirt.  As you can imagine, I didn't find one, so I set out to make my own.  Now if I had paid attention to the instructions and not have hurried through this process, the results would have been much better.  But like I said before...there were just not enough hours in this day.  :)

Here is what I did:

  • I found a logo I wanted and redesigned it on the computer and printed it out onto an iron on transfer paper.
  • Next, I peeled it off and realized that I should have cut the image out before ironing onto my shirt! It looked like I took a sticker and just placed it onto my belly region.
  • DAMAGE CONTROL was next!  Desperate to not have this as a complete failure, I quickly grabbed a blank sheet of paper and reversed the iron on image to it.
  • Turns out, this came out even better than I originally thought it would.  The image looks almost vintage against my dark gray maternity shirt.  Check below for the picture!
TA DA!!
Like I said, we made it to the game and had an awesome time despite the Mav's getting spanked by the Denver Nuggets.

I was really hoping to spot Khloe Kardashian but I didn't see her there.  In fact, I don't think she was at this game.  Poo. :(

This was Jason Kidd on the monitor looking up into the crowd.

Lots and lots of fans that night!

This is the Chili's float that would drop gift certificates onto the crowd! One came close to us, but we couldn't get to it!  However, this woman was just a few fingertips away from victoriously grabbing it, when a young guy grabbed it instead.  Luckily for her, he was a gentlemen who gave it to her instead. :) Ahhh...there's still nice people out there.
